Cinema Reverie was born out of curiosity. At first, it was meant to house reviews of films old and new. I’ve long abandoned reviews and traded them for musings and ramblings (no matter how unorganized they are). When I did reviews, I found myself no longer enjoying the films that I watch. Which is also why I no longer rate films.
At Cinema Reverie, the immediate thoughts that come up while watching are what matters. To relate the films we’re watching to our own experiences and opinions is the essence of these musings. How does it affect me? How does it relate to me? How does it expand my own experiences? After all, cinema affects all of us differently.
Think of this blog as the personal film journal of the writers. We don’t aim for our pieces to be academic. We’re just here to set down our thoughts on everything cinema.
